Churchill Music!
October, 2007On behalf of Churchill Music! and Churchill Primary School, I write to thank you so much for the most generous donation to Churchill Primary School, enabling the purchase of ten, quarter-size violins. This will allow every child in Year 2 to have a chance to learn on a good instrument. Vivienne Price, patron of Churchill Music! and founder of the National Children’s Orchestras (nine in all!) will be teaching the children, which is where Churchill Music! comes in. You may already be aware that there are numerous reports which clearly conclude that learning a musical instrument in school benefits the individual in many other ways — numeracy, literacy and, of course, social skills — learning to be part of a team, listening to others, co-ordination etc. So your most generous donation will be valued for a long time to come. Thank you so much again for your wonderful cheque, which has done so much to support this valuable project.
