The Kings of Wessex School, Cheddar, Somerset
September, 2008On behalf of all the students and staff here at The Kings of Wessex School, I would like to thank you and the Frankie Howerd Board of Trustees for your very generous donations. This was certainly a wonderful start to the new school year! Your donation to the Learning Support Department will greatly enhance this integral area of school, supporting our young people with their learning difficulties. Indeed, you might be aware that we were recently successful in gaining Dyslexia Friendly Schools status. I am always pleased when Kings is able to work within our community and I am delighted our students have had the opportunity to support your Trust. I know that the Senior Student Team will enjoy using your gift for their Sixth Form Common Room and the donation to this year’s Charities Week will be very welcome. Thank you once again for your continued enthusiasm for Kings.
October, 2007
Thank you for sending this week your very generous donation from fundraising at Wavering Down House for £125.00 towards the work of our Learning Support Department. I am extremely grateful for your continued support to our young people here at The Kings of Wessex School and I know that our Learning Support subject leader is equally appreciative. Thank you also for your offer to provide further support and I hope that our Big Band can be of some service to you in the future. I very much believe that our ‘work’ together testifies to the value of our community.
July, 2007
Further to our Big Band playing at The Wurzels event at Wavering Down House on Saturday, June 17, 2007, thank you for your generous contribution of £300 from the total money raised. As you know, we will be using this money for the work of our Music Department here at The Kings of Wessex School. Thank you also for providing this special opportunity for our students to be part of such a wonderful Somerset event in the lovely surroundings of Wavering Down House, raising money for charity.
