THANK-YOU NOTES
Open days and charity events at Wavering Down House and Gardens have so far raised more than £75,000 for good causes.
Highlights at Frankie Howerd’s former home in Cross, near Cheddar, Somerset, UK, have included:
An Up Pompeii party
A concert with The Wurzels
A classic car rally
Opera by singer Tim Pitman
Jazz in the Garden
Tribute bands Abba 2 Bjorn Belief and Kings of Queen
Many charities, primarily in the South West of England, have been helped by money raised at these events.

Speak Up Somerset
August, 2005I just wanted to tell you how pleased I was to be invited to not only your Jazz Evening but also to sell our books during the day. As well as educating the public in mental health matters, we also aim to give some work to those in recovery. All the illustrations you saw in journals, diaries and calendars were done by them. We were so pleased to make £77, along with the £10 Marilyn made. We are very grateful to all of you in the village of Cross — we would love to come again and to support such a worthwhile charity as yours.
