Prostate Cancer Care & Research Centre, Bristol
January, 2007Thank you so much for your interest in supporting the Prostate Cancer Care and Research Centre and the cheque for £326.26. The Prostate Cancer Care and Research Centre at the Bristol Urological Institute is dedicated to improving our knowledge of this dangerous disease, which can affect men who may only be in their 40s and 50s, although obviously this is often seen as a disease in older men. We have a two-pronged research programme. One is trying to develop a better understanding at the molecular level of prostate cancer and the other is making sure we have adequate information about the best clinical methods of treating patients with cancer. Following completion of our building we are now making a start on equipping the laboratory floor and we do still need to raise funds to equip our larger laboratory, which will be used for research into prostate cancer, as well as other urological cancers. Thank you again for your support.
